EVERY WINDOW MATTERS
DECEUNINCK TO LAUNCH NEW SUSTAINABILITY CAMPAIGN

Bogen, March 2024. Deceuninck is taking a new approach to communications by launching the “Every window matters” brand campaign in April 2024 to make its sustainability strategy more widely known. The slogan “Every window matters” highlights the sustainable characteristcs of the Deceuninck product range and supports its partners’ communications with end consumers.

Deceuninck has decided to invest in a managerial position as it transitions to sustainable products and sustainable production. The company believes that this positioning will set it apart from its competition and is the right approach to take in today’s world.

The new brand campaign focuses on the sustainable aspects of window and door profiles. It illustrates the impact that Deceuninck window profiles have on living comfort, our environment and, more broadly, our planet. The result is optimised thermal insulation, lower energy bills and a smaller environmental footprint.

Deceuninck emphasises that this is not a new strategy. The company has been committed to reducing the CO2 emissions of its production processes for decades. Sustainability is at the heart of Deceuninck's brand identity.

At the end of 2023, Deceuninck finalised a five-year investment plan for its recycling plant in Diksmuide, Belgium. The investment plan supports the gradual increase in Deceuninck’s recycling capacity from 8,000 tonnes per year in 2017 to 45,000 tonnes per year by the end of 2023.

The use of recycled materials is an important design criterion in Deceuninck’s R&D processes. The Elegant standard range contains 15 % to 30 % recycled material. With certain frame/sash combinations, a proportion of more than 55 % is achieved, as required by some local authorities. Phoenix profiles lead way with 100 % recycled PVC material.

From an environmental point of view, there are several reasons to invest in recycling. Old PVC windows do not end up in landfill. Processing of recycled material consumes 90 % less energy and causes fewer carbon emissions than manufacturing new material.

In addition, Deceuninck has been pursuing an ambitious plan to reach its climate targets for years and had these validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative) in September 2023. The company’s climate targets are in line with the Business Ambition for 1.5°C, which aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 60 % by 2030 and cutting them to zero by 2050.

Deceuninck developed the new “Every window matters” campaign to emphasise how the company’s products set it apart from the competition. This increases brand awareness and visibility and supports Deceuninck’s partners, dealers and installers.

From April, the campaign will appear in trade magazines for the window market as well as for the target group of architects and planners and will be supported by online measures.
